Types of garden work

Regular lawn care

Mowing on an agreed schedule, seasonal feeding, aeration, scarification, monitoring the condition of the grounds (bare patches, disease, pests), clearing branches and debris before mowing.

Trimming shrubs and trees

Shaping cuts for shrubs, sanitary pruning (removing dead and damaged branches), hedge trimming, care for low fruit trees.

Grounds tidy-up

Collecting and removing leaves in autumn, clearing branches and debris after bad weather, cleaning paths, terraces and patios, caring for garden furniture (cleaning, off-season storage).

Basic plant care

Watering (if there is no automatic system and the owner is away), seasonal feeding, weeding flower beds and vegetable plots, monitoring condition and reporting any problems noticed to the owner.

Seasonal preparation of the grounds

A fixed package of work for the start or end of the season — with no hourly uncertainty. Two sizes: up to 10 sotka (€149) and above (€299).

  • Spring package — opening up the grounds: first mow, lawn aeration, clearing of winter debris, cutting back dead growth, preparing flower beds, checking and starting the irrigation, inspecting garden furniture and structures.
  • Autumn-winter package — preparing for the cold: final mow, leaf clearing, pruning for winter, protecting vulnerable plants, cleaning and storing garden furniture, getting ready for snow.
  • Available as a one-off or as part of regular service — in which case the work is spread across the seasonal schedule.

Specialised lawn and soil work

Straightforward tasks that still need seasonal timing — done as a one-off or built into the regular care schedule.

  • Scarification (raking out thatch) — in spring or autumn, depending on the lawn's condition
  • Soil aeration — improving airflow to the roots, usually combined with scarification
  • Applying fertilisers and feeds — on a seasonal schedule
  • Overseeding the lawn after bare patches or damage
  • Liming the soil where needed
  • Applying mulch and treating tree bases
  • Spraying against fungal diseases and pests (without licensed pesticides)

Preparing the grounds for events

For a photo shoot for a sale or rental listing, for hosting guests, or for the seasonal opening of an alpine or country home.

How it works in practice

  1. You describe the grounds

The area, the type (lawn, flower beds, fruit garden, ornamental plantings), what is usually done, what you want from the care. If you can, send photos or video.

  2. First visit and a plan

We come to the grounds, assess the condition, and agree the scope of regular work and a schedule. For a one-off task, we assess and price it on the spot.

  3. We agree the format and price

A basic visit is from €69 (subscription, minimum 3 months) or €79 (without a subscription). It includes 1 hour of work: roughly mowing up to 3 sotka or trimming up to 5 shrubs. Beyond the basic scope, there are fixed add-ons: +€15 for each additional sotka of mowing or leaf clearing, €25–32 per sotka for aeration and scarification. No extra charges at the end — only what was agreed.

  4. Work on a schedule

We come on the agreed days and carry out the work as planned. After each visit there is a short report: what was done, the condition of the grounds, and what is planned for next time.

  5. Adapting through the seasons

Once a season we discuss with you what changes for the next period — which tasks are added and which are scaled back.

What this service does not include

  • Landscape design and planning a garden from scratch — that is the work of a landscape architect. We help you find a specialist.
  • Felling large trees, removing stumps, work at heights above a stepladder — these need licensed arborists with specialist equipment.
  • Installing automatic irrigation systems and other garden installations — that is the work of specialist installers.
  • Treating trees for diseases and serious pests — this needs a plant-health specialist.
  • Seeding a lawn from scratch or replacing turf over large areas — that is project work. We help you find contractors.
  • Designer plantings and floral arrangements — that is a separate area of expertise.
  • Removing cut grass and garden waste from the property — we carry it to a spot you have prepared (compost heap, container). We do not provide removal from the property itself; we help you find a solution.

Pricing starts with a basic visit (1 hour of work), to which fixed add-ons are applied for scope beyond the basic — per sotka or per metre. Seasonal preparation is a separate package with a fixed price based on the size of the grounds. The final price is always agreed before work begins — no surprises at the end. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

All year round. Active garden work runs from March to November; in winter, we clear snow from paths, protect plants from frost and prepare for spring. The schedule adapts to the season and the region of Slovenia.
We carry all of it to a spot you have prepared on or near the property — a compost heap, container or designated area. Removal from the property itself is not part of our service. On request, we shred the cuttings and leave them as mulch right on the grounds.
Yes. If there is no automatic irrigation system, we arrange regular watering on a schedule that takes the weather into account. Where possible, we help install simple timer systems.
On the first visit we walk the grounds together, note the main zones and the condition of the plants, and propose a realistic care plan to suit your goals and budget.
Yes. We have a circle of Slovenian landscape specialists we can refer you to if you are planning a serious project — a garden rebuild or a new layout.
Yes. By agreement, we buy seedlings and perennials, bring them and plant them according to a plan agreed with you. The cost of the plants is by receipt; our time is charged separately.
It depends on the work. We do not mow the lawn in heavy rain. Leaf or snow clearing happens in any weather. If a visit is postponed because of the weather, we get in touch in advance and agree a new date.
A standard mow of a 100–200 m² lawn takes about an hour. A standard visit is usually 1–2 hours for a standard plot. The exact time follows an assessment of your grounds.
